Chinese Cloisonné Bangles
Chinese cloisonné, also known as jingtailan, is a traditional enamel craft loved for its bold colours, intricate patterns and beautiful metalwork. Each design is created by shaping fine metal wires into tiny sections, filling them with coloured enamel, then firing and polishing the piece until it shines.
The craft has a long history across different cultures, but became especially treasured in China during the Ming dynasty, where its rich blue enamel pieces became closely linked to the Jingtai era.
Our Chinese cloisonné bangles are inspired by this beautiful craft and the history behind it. With every bangle purchase, we include a small history card so you can learn more about where the style comes from and why it matters.
We aim to celebrate the culture, craftsmanship and story behind these pieces, never appropriate it.
